What is a car warranty?

In a nutshell it’s mechanical breakdown insurance and protects you in case your car breaks down. The level of cover will be different policy to policy, but most car warranties will cover the most important parts. If you do get into a tricky situation and your car encounters a fault or failure, your warranty means you are covered. Warranties also cover labour costs and extras such as car hire, too so you won’t get left with a bill you weren’t expecting. Result!

Do I need an RAC car warranty from ALA?

Usually, new cars come with a manufacturer 3 year warranty as standard (or a set number of miles). So, when you buy a new car, you have that sorted and is one less thing to worry about.
